The Bronx Babe is a true story about a young bi-racial girl attending middle school in the early 1970’s. She learns about the value of true friendship. Experiences her first kiss, and how to navigate her way in the midst of racial tensions being half-Irish and half Puerto Rican. She shares stories about  her multi-racial girl clique and the urban dances of back in the day. Its a celebration of New York City culture that’s never been told before!

Sonny Marie Lee is a native New Yorker. She has had a lifetime career as an international fashion model and actor. She has appeared on many commercials, film and television, and performed in community theatre. She has written her one-woman show, “The Bronx Babe,” about her life growing up in The Bronx in the early 1970s. Her premiere Off-Broadway performance begins on October 23rd 2021 and will run every following Saturday until November 13th 2021.
